Emotional farewell for Ed Malone and warm welcome to Sjeidy Feliciano

After nine years working for the Aruba Tourism Authority and 36 years in total in the tourism industry, it was time to say goodbye to Ed Malone, Director A.T.A. North America. An emotional
reception was organized at Kas di Shon Brenchie in the heart of Wilhelminastraat to say farewell to Ed Malone, who dedicated his career to the tourism industry of Aruba. At the same time the
perfect moment to welcome Sjeidy Feliciano as the new Director A.T.A. North America. Ed started his career here on the island of Aruba in 1987 after a temporary transfer as General Manager for the Americana Aruba Beach Resort. Ed remained General Manager until 1998; after that, he occupied different roles in the Tourism sector, such as President of AHATA and CHA association. In 2015 Ed became the Director of A.T.A. North America until December 2022. Ed always shared his knowledge with the ones around him. He came to Aruba looking for a job and found his home.

A warm welcome to Sjeidy Feliciano, who became the new Director A.T.A. North America. Sjeidy has been working for the A.T.A. for more than 20 years, which 11 years in the role of Communications Manager. During her years at the A.T.A., Sjeidy occupied different positions, all she executed with a lot of responsibility and passion. Sjeidy will be the first Director for North America based on-island, creating new opportunities to strengthen the communication between partners in the States and Aruba.
