Discovering Culinary Excellence at La Mer

Amidst Aruba’s vibrant dining scene lies a hidden gem that beckons adventurous food enthusiasts: La Mer. Situated just a short drive from Palm Beach and Eagle Beach, this locally owned establishment exudes vintage Caribbean charm while delivering fine-dining experiences in both cuisine and service.

Created by Dutch restauranteur Rutger Herber, the visionary behind popular local eateries Two Fools & a Bull and Chicken & Lobster, La Mer draws inspiration from the Mediterranean kitchens of France, Italy, Greece, Spain, and Portugal. Rutger assembled a team of hospitality veterans from Aruba, with Chef Mitchell Pereira leading the kitchen brigade. Chef Mitchell’s culinary journey includes stints at various island restaurants and hotels, culminating in prestigious roles at The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba.

Under the leadership of General Manager Alex Myer, with over three decades of hospitality experience in Aruba, La Mer boasts a well-rounded menu featuring appetizers like lobster bisque, charred octopus, and local burrata cheese. Seafood enthusiasts will delight in offerings such as poached Maine lobster and Mediterranean sea bass, while pasta lovers can indulge in dishes like lobster ravioli al pesto and fettuccini carbonara. Meat lovers can savor ultra-premium Demkota beef and Colorado rack of lamb. Complementing the culinary delights is a premium wine list and enticing craft cocktails.

La Mer invites diners to experience its culinary excellence seven nights a week from 5pm to 10pm. Located at Wariruri Condominiums at Rooi Santo 31, it promises an unforgettable dining experience.
