Wind Creek Aruba Celebrates Community, Talent & Wellbeing in a Powerful June 2025 Showcase
In June 2025, Wind Creek Aruba cemented its reputation as a leader in hospitality with three standout initiatives: a record-breaking $100,000 donation during the 7th Annual Long Table Aruba, the celebration of employee excellence at Masters of the Craft 2025, and winning the AHATA Impact Award for employee wellbeing. These accomplishments reflect the resort’s unwavering commitment to community, culture, and care—the pillars of the Wind Creek Aruba impact.
Long Table Aruba 2025: A $100,000 Meal That Changes Lives
Aruba’s Most Generous Dinner Experience

On Sunday, June 22, Wind Creek Aruba transformed L.G. Smith Boulevard into a stunning 1,000-foot dining table that welcomed 1,000 guests for the 7th Annual Long Table Aruba. Known as “The only meal worth $100,000 in Aruba,” the event continues to be the resort’s flagship initiative for community giving.
Since its inception in 2017, Long Table Aruba has raised an impressive $395,000 for local organizations. But 2025 marked a milestone: the largest single-year donation yet.
Supporting Mental Health Through Stichting Hunto
This year’s chosen cause, Stichting Hunto, focuses on mental health and addiction recovery. With the support of Wind Creek Aruba, the organization will launch a mobile multifunctional care unit, delivering critical psychological and medical support directly to vulnerable populations across Aruba.
Originally raising $60,000 during the event, Wind Creek Aruba stepped in with additional funding to increase the donation to a full $100,000, ensuring deeper impact and greater outreach.
“Long Table Aruba is more than a dinner—it’s a celebration of community impact,” said Paul Gielen, GM of Wind Creek Aruba.
Masters of the Craft 2025: Honoring Culinary Creativity

Aruba’s Rising Stars of Food and Beverage
Wind Creek Aruba also celebrated its talented team during Masters of the Craft 2025, held at the Renaissance Convention Center. This dynamic, Marriott-wide competition recognized the best in mixology, culinary arts, and pastry within the Wind Creek family.
Meet the 2025 champions:
- Beverage Champion: Jimena Jimenez – wowed with innovative mixology techniques.
- Culinary Champion: Jeferson Ouant – delivered a culturally inspired, technically flawless dish.
- Pastry Champion: Maria Coronado – stunned with an elegant and flavorful dessert.
“This competition is not just about winning—it’s about passion, recognition, and opportunity,” said Chris Tans, Director of Beverage & Food.
The event empowered associates to showcase their skills and inspired professional growth across departments.
AHATA Impact Award: Recognizing Employee Wellbeing
Compassion in the Workplace Recognized by Industry
In a crowning moment, Wind Creek Aruba was awarded the 2025 AHATA Impact Award for Employee Wellbeing, presented by the Aruba Hotel and Tourism Association. This honor reflects the resort’s holistic approach to creating a culture of connection, care, and purpose.

At the heart of this recognition was the Helping Hearts & Hands (HH&H) initiative—a confidential, employee-driven relief fund that provides emergency financial support for medical travel, family crises, and home damage.
Beyond HH&H: A Culture of Growth and Recognition
Wind Creek Aruba’s employee wellbeing initiatives include:
- Leadership and GED training programs
- Dedicated HR support per department
- Value-based recruitment for cultural alignment
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for staff and family members
- Recognition platforms like Wind Dollars and Best of the Best
“We’ve always believed that when people feel seen and supported, they thrive,” said GM Paul Gielen.
Why Wind Creek Aruba’s Impact Matters
From community support to employee empowerment, Wind Creek Aruba’s triple achievement this June highlights what it means to be a truly purpose-driven hospitality brand. Through generosity, recognition, and intentional wellbeing efforts, the resort leads the way in socially responsible tourism in Aruba.
Final Thoughts: Hospitality with Heart and Purpose
Wind Creek Aruba’s initiatives in June 2025 demonstrate how a resort can be more than just a place to stay. It can be a catalyst for community growth, a launchpad for talent, and a safe haven for employees.
