Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Celebrates Success with 21 GED® Graduates

Wind Creek Aruba, recognized as a leading employer in Aruba, introduced the “GED® Certification Program” for its employees earlier this year. The program, focused on nurturing individual growth and development, uniquely ran during work hours, maintaining salaries, and covering all expenses for participants. With a commitment to fostering a sense of belonging and importance among its team, Wind Creek Aruba’s purpose-driven approach underscores the value of investing in personal and professional growth, benefiting the community and the country. Partnering with the “International School of Aruba,” Wind Creek proudly announces the graduation of 21 employees in 2023.

This commitment to responsible corporate practices involves actively investing in employee development. Mr. Paul Gielen, General Manager of Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort, highlighted the company’s belief in the program, expressing pride in celebrating the 21 graduates.

This pioneering initiative initially involved 31 team members who passed the admission exam, aligning with the company’s core values of ‘Do it Right, Be the Best, Have Fun.’

The graduation ceremony, attended by the graduates, their guests, Mr. Dennis Willeford (Head of ISA), Mr. Paul Gielen, and Mrs. Tisa LaSorte (President and CEO of AHATA), commemorated the remarkable achievements of the employees who managed their studies alongside their regular jobs. Noteworthy was the diverse group, including the oldest graduate at 56 and the youngest at 21, with a mother and son achieving their diplomas simultaneously. The event highlighted the strong bonds formed within the group, representing various departments within Wind Creek Aruba.

Looking ahead, Wind Creek Aruba’s Human Resources team is already planning the next GED program for 2024 in collaboration with the International School of Aruba, emphasizing their commitment to providing a high level of education to their team members.
