Hanke Bruins Slot, Minister for Internal Affairs and Kingdom Relations (Binnenlandse Zaken en Koninkrijksrelaties, BZK), and Alexandra van Huffelen, Secretary of State for Kingdom Relations and Digitalisation, will visit jointly Sint Maarten, Sint Eustatius and Corsou from 6 to of september. It relates to the past of slavery, so it looks and tends for conversations about the past of slavery on the island and in the Netherlands.

Sint Maarten

The trip ends on September 6 in Sint Maarten, where two presidents exchange it with each other about residents of different origins, touching on the past of slavery and what it means for the future. Also it for keto in 5 years of Hurricane Irma.

Sint Eustatius

River 7 of September the next stop is at Sint Eustatius. Here you will find among other things a historical walk in Oranjestad, a talk with the Statia Heritage Commission and a visit to a school and talk about the past of slavery, usury and program.
