La Cabana Associates Celebrate Milestones and Future Visions
La Cabana Beach Resort & Casino recently hosted a jubilant Associates Anniversary Party, commemorating a remarkable total of 670 years of dedication and service among its associates. The event celebrated the enduring commitment of team members contributing 5, 10, 15, 25, and 30 years to the La Cabana family.
The festivities commenced with a heartfelt toast by Tessely Koolman, HR Director, and Joe Najjar, GM, honoring the resort’s past, present, and future. The occasion highlighted the pivotal role each associate plays in shaping the ongoing success of the establishment.
Throughout the ceremony, associates received personalized gratitude for their distinct contributions and accomplishments during their tenure at La Cabana. The atmosphere resonated with camaraderie and shared memories, fostering a profound sense of pride and achievement among the honorees.
In a gesture of appreciation, associates were presented with carefully chosen anniversary gifts, emblematic of La Cabana’s acknowledgment of their unwavering commitment and collective triumphs.

The final Associates General Meeting of 2023, held on November 29th, recapped the successes of the year and outlined plans for 2024. The gathering featured the resort’s customary value-button exchange, introducing ‘The Essence of Passion’ as the focal theme for 2024. This theme signifies the resort’s commitment to hospitality and tourism, aiming to serve guests with exceptional enthusiasm.
HR Director Tessely Koolman highlighted the importance of taking pride in work and serving others with enthusiasm, embracing the essence of Passion as La Cabana associates.
The meeting included updates on renovations, unveiling the Associates Opinion Survey results, and introducing new benefits such as the Preschool Assistance Program, Pension Contribution matching, and Restaurant discounts. These initiatives aim to support associates’ families, enhance financial security, and provide additional perks.
