Inspire by USP Media

Sharmin de Vries, the PR Manager for Benelux, participated in the Inspire by USP media event organized by USP, a travel PR agency representing the Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort. The event focused on travel brands and destinations, offering speed dating sessions with journalists and influencer managers to explore potential collaborations and expand A.T.A. NL’s database. The event took place at the prestigious Park Zuid Restaurant, located in the heart of Amsterdam within the enchanting Vondelpark. With a combined presence of over 40 journalists and influencer managers, Sharmin de Vries had numerous opportunities to network with new individuals and reconnect with existing contacts. Capitalizing on the occasion, Sharmin de Vries actively promoted Aruba, highlighting its unique features and showcasing three upcoming press trip opportunities.

These events serve as excellent platforms to connect with a large number of journalists and influencers simultaneously, allowing for the exploration of potential collaborations while gaining insights into how other destinations handle PR and influencer-related matters.

The Travel Club

Aruba recently participated in an exciting event with our partner, The Travel Club, providing an excellent opportunity to connect with 300 independent travel agents within The Travel Club organization in Elmelo. Our goal was to answer any questions they may have about our beautiful island and help increase their Aruba bookings.

To engage the agents, we created a QR code that asked how locals refer to San Nicolas. This question sparked their interest, and we were delighted to share our island’s culture and history with them. The answer was “Sunrise City,” as San Nicolas offers the most beautiful sunrise on the island and showcases unique murals with supreme artistic talent.

As the event ended, we hosted an Aruba one happy hour for the agents, serving the famous Aruba Ariba cocktail made with Spirited Union rum. The refreshing drink was a hit, and many agents were eager to try the rum.

Overall, the event was a great success, and we were thrilled to connect with so many independent travel agents. We hope that our presence and unique ideas will inspire them to recommend Aruba to their clients, bringing even more visitors to our beautiful island.
