Europe’s Vital Role in Diversification Efforts
A recent gathering took place in Europe, bringing together key figures from the Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.), including CEO Ronella Croes, CMO Sanju Luidens, Communications Manager Marisol Sanchez, Europe Director Tirso Tromp, and Sales and Marketing Manager Jaap Ellis. The primary objective of the meeting was to enhance efforts for the year 2024 and explore potential markets, such as Switzerland, while also establishing a presence in the German market.
Throughout this European visit, discussions unfolded with the PR Agency of the UK market, evaluating the performance of 2023 and formulating new strategies for the upcoming year. The Aruba Tourism Authority remains steadfast in its commitment to diversify offerings tailored to the European market. Confronted with various challenges, the organization recognizes the importance of fortifying relationships and sustaining initiatives to expand its reach in the UK, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
At present, the European market accounts for approximately 8% of total visitors to the destination. The focus for 2024 is to elevate this contribution to 13%, necessitating a 35% increase from Germany compared to 2023. Projections for 2023 indicate that the European market will conclude with a 5% increase compared to 2022.
