Visit Eco Destination

A.T.A. NL had a pleasant visit from Aruba, President/CEO of Eco Destination Wichita Villacres. During her visit to our offices, Wichita gave a fantastic presentation about her DMC (Destination Management Company) business.

She shared her expertise and experience in the industry, and we all learned a lot from her insights and strategies. Wichita was very generous with her time and attention, answering questions and engaging with everyone in the room. We at A.T.A. NL are happy with her visit and the valuable knowledge she shared with us. Thank you, Wichita!

Travel Store 2023

An old church restored to a brand new Travel Store was the setting for a Caribbean Market in Dordrecht.

Aruba was part of the exhibitors next to Jamaica, Curacao and Dominican Republic. Ms. Aaliyah Windster Sales Executive was the representative for A.T.A. NL.

The travel agents from Travel Store organize and are always ready to give an advice or inspiration for traveling. Travel Store opened first in 1975 in Gorinchem and now has more than 5 locations in The Netherlands, and has very loyal clients.

The exhibition had support from RIU Palace and Paradera Park who were also present at this event. The program included a stand where the customers can find inspiration, a presentation of each destination, and a travel agent with whom they can sit and book directly their tickets. For kids there was the fun Aruba memory game on the table, which inspired families to book also their vacation to Aruba. It was a great opportunity to exchange inspiration with travelers and agents.

E-learning Program

As destination Aruba, we gave the last limited edition Aruba bicycle away to a participant of our E-learning program. Mrs. Ester Vijverberg from The Travel Club completed her e-training before the 1st of April with 100% correct answers.

As sales, we focus on supporting the travel agents, so they can confidently book Aruba as a memorable experience for their clients, we do this in many different forms, from training to presentations, but e-learning has also been our focus to showcase the destination and have the travel agents receive a digital certificate for their participation.

TRAVDAY 2023

Aruba participated as one of the exhibitors at TravDay BENELUX in Belgium. ATA Europe was represented by Aaliyah Windster, Sales Executive Europe and Jaap Ellis Sales and Marketing Manager Europe.

TravMedia is one of A.T.A. Europe’s media partners, with who they share newsletters and special announcements within the Travel industry. The day opened with a speech and had different break-out sessions with presentations. Aruba had a stand showcasing the Aruba Effect Campaign, which raised a lot of curiosity among travel agents to learn more about Aruba.

A.T.A. Europe supports travel agents with an e-learning platform, My Aruba App, and an Aruba goodie box which includes all the recent promotional items for the Aruba bookers. Great opportunity to speak with important organizations which whom A.T.A. Europe sees a possibility to work with.

During this day, there was also a scan and win activation. The winner received a summer cool bag with promo items and the limited-edition Spirited Union Rum Aruba Ariba. The event was successful, and the visitors expressed very positive about the hospitality and experience they received at the Aruba stand.

D-Reizen Connecting Worlds

D-Reizen organized a special event for travel agents at the Aviodrome Luchthaven in Lelystad. The event aimed to have partners in the industry build trust and partnerships with D-Reizen travel agents, who are critical in booking clients for memorable travel experiences in The Netherlands.

The event was held in the museum, and Aruba was present to showcase The Aruba Effect. Which was received positively by travel agents, and many expressed interests in booking vacations to Aruba. The event’s speed dating format allowed travel agents to interact with different travel partners quickly, building relationships and learning about different destinations and travel packages.

Overall, the event was a success, and it helped strengthen the connection between Aruba and D-Reizen company. Such events are a crucial part of Europe’s strategy in the Netherlands as they provide an opportunity to build trust and partnerships direct with travel agents.
