Aruba Tourism Authority hosts training for Ecuadorian travel agents

Aruba Trains Ecuadorian Travel Agents and Launches National Sales Contest

To further boost its presence in Ecuador, the Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) Ecuador, in collaboration with Castellum Ixchel, conducted a dynamic training session aimed at educating and empowering travel retailers across the country. The session spotlighted Aruba’s world-class attractions, its advantages as a Caribbean destination, and exciting new incentives for Ecuadorian professionals.

As part of an ongoing campaign that began last year, agents were introduced to the ACE certification platform, which continues to serve as a hub for destination knowledge, sales tools, and real-time updates on entry requirements for Ecuadorian travelers.

Empowering Agents Through the ACE Certification Platform

A key highlight of the session was the promotion of the Aruba Certified Expert (ACE) platform. Travel professionals were encouraged to complete the certification to become better equipped to sell Aruba with confidence.

The ACE program provides:

  • Destination facts and insider tips
  • Sales techniques tailored to the Ecuadorian market
  • Entry updates and visa requirements
  • Exclusive promotional resources

“The ACE platform isn’t just about learning—it’s about opening doors to better sales performance and greater recognition,” shared Claudia Delgado, Sales Representative for Colombia and Ecuador at ATA.

Nationwide Sales Contest to Drive Engagement

In a bold move to incentivize agent participation, A.T.A. Ecuador and Castellum Ixchel unveiled a nationwide sales contest designed to reward the top-performing travel agents in Ecuador. Launched at the beginning of July, the contest will run until December 15, 2025.

Grand Prizes for Top Performers

The contest offers impressive rewards:

  • The top six agents will each win an all-inclusive trip to Aruba
  • The seventh-place winner will receive a brand-new electric scooter

To participate, agents must complete their ACE certification, which unlocks eligibility for the incentive program. This requirement ensures that participants are fully equipped to promote Aruba effectively and accurately.

Strategic Campaign for Long-Term Growth in Ecuador

This initiative reflects ATA’s ongoing commitment to grow Aruba’s visitor numbers from Ecuador, a market showing increased interest in Caribbean getaways. By focusing on training, certification, and rewarding top sellers, Aruba ensures that travel professionals remain passionate advocates for the destination.

Through its innovative training and rewards campaign, Aruba is making sure Ecuadorian travel professionals are equipped, motivated, and recognized. This initiative is a prime example of Aruba’s people-first approach to tourism marketing—one that values partnerships, education, and long-term impact.

If you’re a travel agent in Ecuador, now’s the time to get certified, boost your sales, and secure your chance to experience Aruba’s magic firsthand.
