Aruba Online News is thrilled to bring you the latest updates from the Aruba Convention Bureau (ACB), showcasing their triumphant efforts in fostering relationships, expanding networks, and promoting Aruba as a premier destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) events. From the vibrant cities of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania to the picturesque setting of San Juan, Puerto Rico, ACB’s endeavors have been nothing short of remarkable.
Northeast Sales Calls: A Week of Engagement
ACB embarked on a successful journey across the Northeast, where they organized and executed five client events, providing a platform for engagement and networking. The events drew the participation of 28 clients, representing a diverse array of companies in the MICE industry. Notable attendees included Next Level Performance, HelmsBriscoe, IME Connect, HPN Global, Canvas Meetings & Events, Global Cynergies, BCD Meetings, JR Global, and many more.
The presence of Aruba’s dedicated partners, such as Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino, Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort, Spa & Casino, Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino, Embassy Suites Aruba Resort, and Red Sail Aruba, added significant value to these events. Christina Calcoa from Marriott CALA – Renaissance also joined for a team dinner and a happy hour.
This series of events underscored ACB’s unwavering commitment to nurturing relationships with key clients and partners. Through diverse activities and locations, Aruba was presented as an enticing destination for MICE events. The seamless execution of these events serves as a testament to ACB’s professionalism and dedication.
MICE Actions Peru: Elevating Group Travel Opportunities
In collaboration with ATA LATAM and Aruba MICE partners, ACB supported the new direct LATAM Airline flights from Peru. This week-long effort included meetings, presentations, and engagements with both existing and potential clients.
The direct flights from Peru have proven to be a game-changer, with confirmed bookings and promising prospects for the future. ACB continues to create opportunities and maintain a robust pipeline of RFPs and inquiries from the market. The Aruba team had productive appointments with various key players in the industry, including Destinos Mundiales group division, BCD-MICE, Costamar, Travel Security, El Viaje Corte Ingles, Trotamundos, CIC, Coltour, Irdeviaje.com, and a Media Breakfast.
ACB extends a special thank-you to ATA LATAM representative Jessica Lara and partners Embassy Suites Aruba Resort, Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino, and De Palm Tours for their invaluable support in LATAM-MICE initiatives.
Destination Caribbean: Promising Prospects on Display
In August, ACB Representative Hal Davis participated in Destination Caribbean, a MICE Hosted Buyer show held at the Hilton Caribe in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The event focused on bringing top-tier Meeting Planners together with Destinations and Hotel Representatives within the Caribbean.
Davis engaged in 23 individual appointments and numerous networking opportunities, facilitating interactions between Buyers and Suppliers. These interactions revealed strong potential for Aruba as a destination, with planners identifying business opportunities ranging from 100 to 800 total room nights in 2024-25.
Key Aruba partners, including Mark DiMartino from Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino and Janine De Windt with Eco DMS, demonstrated robust support and collaboration within the destination.
In conclusion, the Aruba Convention Bureau’s tireless efforts in the Northeast, Peru, and Puerto Rico have not only expanded its network but also positioned Aruba as a top choice for MICE events. Aruba Online News will continue to keep you informed about ACB’s endeavors as they continue to elevate Aruba’s status as a premier MICE destination. Stay tuned for more success stories!
