Workshop for Teachers 2024: Integrating Creativity into the Classroom

Join the “Workshop for Teachers 2024” to explore innovative methods and ideas for integrating creative themes in your classroom.

This year’s Workshop for Teachers 2024 aligns with the Festival of Books for Children, themed ‘Dushi Cabesura!’ Organized by the library, this workshop aims to provide teachers with creative ideas and tips on how to incorporate the theme into their classroom activities.

Engaging Presentations and Practical Tips for Teachers

The workshop will kick off with a brief presentation by Valerie Figaroa, Head of SMD, who will showcase the work of different school libraries. This introduction will be followed by two insightful sessions led by facilitators from IPA.

Drama and Critical Thinking in Education

Daylan Krozendijk, a theater instructor at IPA, will present on “Creativity and Fun with Drama,” demonstrating how to use drama actively to integrate and emphasize the ‘Dushi Cabesura!’ theme. Additionally, Gino Vrolijk, a practical instructor at IPA, will lead a session titled ‘Critical Thinking with Creativity,’ where he will teach teachers how to formulate questions that stimulate different levels of thinking among students.

Learn from Real-Life Examples in Schools

This year, two schools have been invited to give brief presentations on their past opening activities, offering teachers new ideas for their own school openings. These real-life examples will provide practical insights that can be applied directly to classroom settings.

The Workshop for Teachers 2024 will take place on September 23, 24, and 25 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
