In a heartwarming show of gratitude, Radisson Blu Aruba recently dedicated an entire week to honor and celebrate their diligent Housekeeping team during International Housekeeping Week. The week-long celebration commenced with a delightful breakfast buffet, personally served by department leaders to express their appreciation and respect for the tireless efforts of the Housekeeping staff. This morning gathering provided the perfect start to the week, fostering camaraderie not only among the Housekeeping team but also extending an invitation to the Maintenance team and all other departments, reinforcing the spirit of unity and teamwork.
As the week progressed, employees reveled in a series of engaging activities, including a lively happy hour and bingo session, complete with enticing prizes to recognize their dedication and hard work. The bingo event brought team members together for a night filled with laughter and fun.
Understanding the significance of relaxation and self-care, the housekeeping team enjoyed a morning of well-deserved massages, providing them with a chance to unwind and rejuvenate. This soothing experience offered a break from their daily routines and an opportunity to pamper themselves.
The celebrations reached their zenith with a breathtaking catamaran sunset sail, granting team members the chance to soak in the beauty of the Aruban coastline. To conclude this unforgettable week, a closing dinner took place at the Fish House restaurant. The evening marked the culmination of a week filled with appreciation and recognition, as the team relished delicious local cuisine and each other’s company.
Housekeeping Department Executive Paola Thielman expressed the importance of these celebrations, stating, “In the housekeeping department, each one of my team members demonstrates true dedication and passion for what they do, whether it’s ensuring proper hygiene and sanitation protocols or adding a personal touch with custom origamis or leaving a little gift during the turndown service for guests.
