Public Consultation on Aruba’s Animal Welfare Law
The Ministry of Transport, Integrity, Nature, and Senior Affairs is actively working on a new Animal Welfare Law to ensure better protection and care for animals in Aruba. This law will set regulations to improve the welfare of pets and other animals on the island.
The government seeks community feedback and invites everyone to participate in the public consultation to voice their opinions on this important draft law.
How to Participate in the Animal Welfare Consultation
The public consultation for the Animal Welfare Law has been open since September 18 and will remain accessible until September 28, 2024. There are multiple ways for citizens to get involved and share their thoughts:

You can download the draft law and its explanatory memorandum (memorie van toelichting) from the official website. Once reviewed, use the digital form to submit your suggestions. - In-Person Consultation Event:
An in-person public consultation session will take place on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at MFA Paradera from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Here, citizens can share their feedback directly.
