Hellen van der Wal’s Departure and Achievements
On August 6, 2024, Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes and Minister of Finance and Culture Xiomara Maduro welcomed Marion Agunbero, Aruba’s new representative on the College Aruba Financial Supervision (CAFT) board. The meeting also acknowledged the contributions of outgoing member Hellen van der Wal, who served two terms.
Government’s Acknowledgement and Future Plans
Agunbero, appointed on August 1, 2024, brings extensive experience from roles at the Ministry of Finance, Central Bank, Advisory Council, and Pension Fund. The transition comes as CAFT and the Aruban government continue to stabilize financial management post-COVID-19. Prime Minister Wever-Croes expressed gratitude to Mrs. van der Wal and extended best wishes to Mr. Agunbero.
