Latin American Marketing Update Meeting – News Aruba January updates

As part of the A.T.A.’s strategy, there are various moments during the year when the A.T.A. meets with its on-island partners and with its markets.

The Latin American Marketing Update Meeting took place in the ballroom of Hyatt Place Aruba Airport, where the LATAM team led by Jordan Schlipken- Croes, Area Director LATAM, presented their extensive plans for 2023. The partners present could have seen some ‘out of the box’ ideas to market the destination to attract even more visitors to the island.

The Latin market took a little longer to open and recover from the pandemic. Still, the recovery until November was 76% in the number of visitors compared to 2019. The current recovery is mainly from Colombia, at the level of 2019.

At the same time, Jordan took a moment to thank all partners who worked closely with the LATAM team and produced for the destination. The partners awarded were Brickell Bay Beach Club & Spa, Barcelo Aruba, Eagle Beach Resort & Casino, Riu, and Holiday Inn Aruba. Also, special recognition to De Palm Tours.

For 2023 the A.T.A. will keep focusing on the divarication of visitors to have a good distribution of visitors in different regions.
