Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort: Nurturing Environmental Consciousness Through Earth Day Tree Planting Initiative
Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort, Aruba is extending an invitation to local school children to participate in sowing the seeds of change and cultivating a greener future for Aruba and beyond on Earth Day 2024. On April 22nd, staff members, students, and teachers from Mon Plaisir Primary School, along with staff from Queen Beatrix International Airport, will converge. Together, they will join hands with members of Ban Lanta y Planta to plant indigenous trees at The Bucuti Tara – GMC Nature Preserve, a sanctuary of hope for Aruba’s future generation nestled in bustling Noord.
Despite being Aruba’s premier adults-only resort, Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort has long been deeply committed to fostering environmental stewardship and community engagement across all age groups. The resort eagerly anticipates welcoming local children to participate in this special Earth Day planting initiative, allowing them to connect with nature, learn about sustainability, and actively contribute to the island’s conservation efforts. The Bucuti Tara – GMC Nature Preserve, a 30-acre/12-hectare prime expanse of land, stands as a testament to Bucuti & Tara’s dedication to Aruba’s future generations, including the very children taking part in the Earth Day event.
“Collaborating this Earth Day goes beyond planting trees; it’s about passing on knowledge and nurturing hope for the future,” states Ewald Biemans, Owner/CEO of Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort. “By involving our local children in this initiative, we aim to instill a sense of environmental responsibility and empower them to become stewards of our precious planet.”
The Earth Day tree-planting event will not only contribute to the preservation of Aruba’s natural landscape but also foster meaningful intergenerational dialogue on the importance of environmental conservation. Through hands-on participation, children will gain invaluable insights into the significance of protecting the planet. The Bucuti Tara – GMC Nature Preserve, currently in Phase 1 of planting 15,000 trees, is set to draw down 375 tCO2 emissions annually, promoting cleaner air for everyone in Aruba.
