In July 2024, the Average Daily Rate (ADR) for these rentals was $306, with an occupancy rate of 50.5%. The revenue from short-term rentals amounted to $20,231,887. These metrics reveal the increasing importance of this sector to Aruba’s economy.

Tourist Spending Patterns

ATA has leveraged VISA data to gain insights into tourist spending. The breakdown shows substantial expenditures in several categories:

  • Restaurants: $42,887,963
  • Hotels: $35,233,357
  • Shopping: $33,755,015

This data supports the goal of using the High Value, Low Impact Tourism Model to attract high-spending tourists while ensuring minimal environmental impact.
