Aruba welcomes back the CAREBACO Junior 2024 Badminton Tournament, hosting athletes from 9 countries in a major regional competition.
Minister Endy Croes Opens CAREBACO Junior 2024
After an eight-year hiatus, Aruba proudly hosts the CAREBACO Junior 2024 Badminton Tournament. The event, officially opened by Minister of Education and Sport Endy Croes, features 150 athletes from across the Caribbean and beyond.
Participants from 9 Countries Compete in Badminton Tournament
Participants from Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, Suriname, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Guyana, and Aruba, including 16 local athletes, will compete in various age categories ranging from U11 to U19.
CAREBACO Tournament History and Evolution
The CAREBACO International, established in 1972, has evolved from a regional event involving only four countries to a significant tournament within the BWF Future Series.
From a Closed Event to an International Competition
Initially a closed event for CAREBACO members, it became an open individual event in 1999, gaining international recognition and expanding to include 17 member countries.
