**Air Century announces expansion of services to Aruba**
In response to the increasing demand for travel to the island, Air Century has expanded its flight offerings to provide a more comprehensive and flexible travel experience for passengers. The strategic move aims to capture a larger market share, meet the increasing demand, and enhance overall connectivity.
The latest expansion encompasses the introduction of a new route from La Isabela International Airport (JBQ) and now also from Punta Cana (PUJ) to Aruba. Air Century has increased its services between JBQ and AUA from two to three weekly flights, offering increased travel flexibility on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The reintroduction of the Punta Cana gateway on AUA’s route map will provide three weekly flights, promoting the concept of multi-destinations, allowing passengers to choose itineraries that enable them to collect unforgettable experiences in different cities.
This expansion marks a significant move for Air Century, a trusted operator, that has been consistent in its commitment to the island since 2018, providing reliable services with a growing fleet and expanding route network. The JBQ and PUJ route will be serviced by a CRJ2 offering 50 seats per flight. This increase in weekly flights to JBQ and the new Punta Cana route will generate an additional 750 seats per month, contributing to a 60% increase in capacity for Air Century’s operations out of Santo Domingo.
The addition of the Punta Cana route is a key development in the company’s focus on exploring new routes and opportunities within the Caribbean region. Punta Cana, being the second most popular destination in the Latin America region, offers great potential for connectivity and tourism development.
