Housekeeping Week celebrations at La Cabana Beach Resort

The Housekeeping Week Celebration at the resort was a delightful event filled with gratitude, laughter, and unity. The festivities commenced with an elegant American breakfast in the ballroom, accompanied by a heartfelt blessing for the day and the department, setting the tone for a week dedicated to appreciation and togetherness.

Members of the Executive Committee and Housekeeping Manager Cristina Galindo delivered inspiring speeches, expressing their heartfelt gratitude for the hard work and dedication of the entire Housekeeping Team. Their words resonated deeply with everyone present as they emphasized the significance of teamwork and the pursuit of professional excellence.

A special highlight of the celebration was the presence of guest speaker Giancarla Van der Biezen from the HBN Church. She offered a spiritual perspective on the value of service and hospitality, touching the hearts of all attendees.

The week also featured a Team Building Conference led by the dynamic Belkis Moreu. Through interactive activities and discussions, the housekeeping team strengthened their bonds and gained valuable insights into collaboration and communication. Laughter and fun were in abundance as Tyson Croes hosted a series of entertaining games with exciting prizes at stake. These activities not only ignited the team’s competitive spirit but also created lasting memories and photo opportunities.

The celebration reached its pinnacle during the Road Jam Party Bus excursion, featuring the lively sounds of the onboard Calipso King band. Surprise prizes were awarded to the winners of the Best Practices and 7 Habits of Hospitality awards, demonstrating La Cabana’s commitment to acknowledging and valuing exceptional contributions.

The week concluded on a high note with a karaoke-themed event titled “Es Viernes y el cuerpo lo sabe,” where everyone had the chance to sing their hearts out, marking the end of a memorable Housekeeping Week until the next one in 2024.
