ATA team visiting Ecuador for Aruba travel promotions

Culinary Events, Strategic Meetings, and Sales Push in Quito and Guayaquil

The Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) Latin America team visited Ecuador to promote the island among key partners and stakeholders in the local market.

Led by Claudia Delgado, Aruba’s sales representative for Ecuador, and Jordan Schlipken, ATA’s Director for Latin America, the visit included a packed agenda of promotional and educational activities.

Gastronomic Event with Celebrity Chef Connects Aruba with Culinary Market

As part of the strategy to engage Ecuador’s gastronomic segment, the team hosted exclusive dinners featuring renowned chef Christopher Carpentier. These events provided a unique opportunity to promote Aruba through food, connecting the destination with Ecuadorian travel advisors and culinary influencers in a memorable way.

Business Meetings and Training in Two Key Cities

In both Quito and Guayaquil, ATA conducted:

  • Meetings with major wholesalers and travel partners
  • Product updates and marketing strategy presentations
  • Sales training sessions with the latest Aruba tourism stats and insights

These sessions reinforced Aruba’s competitive advantages and helped prepare agents to sell the destination more effectively.

New Travel Agent Incentive Program Announced

A major highlight of the trip was the launch of an incentive program for Ecuadorian travel agents:

  • Eligibility Period: April 15 to September 30, 2025
  • Top Prizes:
    • 6 trips to Aruba for the top sellers
    • 1 electric scooter for the highest-performing agent

The incentive campaign aims to boost Aruba bookings throughout the year and reward agents for their performance.

Strengthening Ties and Driving Growth in Ecuador

This visit reflects ATA’s commitment to investing in high-potential LATAM markets like Ecuador. With culinary activations, partner engagement, and a strong sales push, Aruba is positioning itself as a preferred Caribbean destination for Ecuadorian travelers in 2025 and beyond.
