Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort Honors Housekeeping Heroes

Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort, a hallmark of excellence in hospitality, recently celebrated International Housekeepers Week 2024. This week-long event honored the resort’s dedicated housekeeping team with special activities on the island and at sea. As TripAdvisor’s No. 21 Best Hotel in the World, Bucuti & Tara prides itself on the high standards maintained by its housekeeping professionals.

Celebrating Hospitality Heroes

Housekeepers are often the unsung heroes of hospitality. Their meticulous attention to detail enhances the guest experience at Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort. Elston Cilié, Executive Housekeeper, emphasizes the joy of working with such a dedicated team. “Seeing our housekeepers each morning sets a blissful tone for the entire day,” he states. The resort organized various events to appreciate their hard work.

Launch Breakfast Kicks Off Celebrations

The week began with a celebratory breakfast on September 9. This launch event featured a delicious buffet prepared by the award-winning culinary team at Elements restaurant. Each team member received a colorful keepsake drink tumbler as a token of appreciation.

Competitive Bowling Night

On September 10, the housekeeping team traded their serene surroundings for a night of competitive bowling at Eagle Bowling. The team of Jermin Martina, Georgia Brown, Steve Thiel, and Brendolyn Bennett won the competition. Martina even scored an impressive 167 points. Laughter filled the air as staff shared creative reasons for gutter balls, showcasing their camaraderie.

Relaxation and Dancing on the Water

Housekeeping staff enjoyed a relaxing cruise from Pelican Pier, taking in Aruba’s stunning sunsets. The evening transformed into a spontaneous dance party as the boat glided over crystal-clear waters. This lively atmosphere allowed the team to unwind and celebrate their hard work.

A Feast for the Senses

To conclude the week, the housekeeping team was honored with a special dinner at Texas de Brazil. The menu featured a sumptuous array of churrasco-style meats, chef-crafted salads, roasted vegetables, and more. Rik van der Berg, Resort Manager, expressed the significance of this week, stating, “We celebrate our outstanding Housekeeping professionals who delightfully care about Bucuti & Tara and our guests.”

Comprehensive Employee Benefits Year-Round

While International Housekeepers Week is a highlight, Bucuti & Tara offers exceptional benefits year-round. Employees enjoy competitive compensation, ongoing training, and private healthcare plans. The resort’s wellness strategy prioritizes the health and happiness of its staff, ensuring they can provide top-notch service.
