Final Days for National Exam 2025 Registration
ORANJESTAD – The exam section of the Department of Education Aruba (DEA) is reminding students and interested candidates that the National Exam 2025 registration is open until September 30, 2024. This is your chance to obtain an MAVO, HAVO, or VWO diploma flexibly.
What is the National Exam?
The National Exam serves as an equivalent to the secondary school exam. Achieving a MAVO, HAVO, or VWO National Exam diploma carries the same weight as diplomas obtained through traditional secondary schools. The exam adheres to the same requirements and involves the same written central exams.
Who Can Register?
Anyone who no longer attends secondary school but wishes to obtain their diploma can register for the National Exam 2025. Additionally, candidates who want to earn a certificate for one or more specific subjects are welcome to participate. Importantly, participants do not have to complete all exams at once. Instead, they can take exams and receive partial certificates across different school years. Each candidate has a maximum of 10 years to complete their diploma requirements through the National Exam.
How to Register
To register for the National Exam, candidates must fill out a digital form and upload a civil registry extract, which costs AWG 5.00 and should not be older than six months. More information on the similarities and differences between the National Exam and traditional secondary school qualifications can be found on the National Exam page. You can also refer to the Information Brochure for National Exam 2025 for additional details.
