The virtual session on career opportunities in Washington DC will be held at 9:00 AM EST, making it accessible for students in the Netherlands at 3:00 PM. This session offers valuable insights for students and professionals in the United States, Aruba, and the Netherlands who are interested in gaining work experience in Washington DC. This will help make their resumes more attractive for future job searches. Additionally, professionals in Aruba seeking career changes can learn about job opportunities in international organizations.

Presentations by Global Organizations

Key organizations, including the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank, will present during the session. These institutions will provide information about internships and entry-level positions, a key pathway for recent graduates and professionals looking to enter international organizations. Additionally, the Netherlands-America Foundation will discuss financial support available for Dutch students pursuing master’s degrees or internships in the United States, including their well-known DC Summer Internships.

Jennifer Molina Vrolijk, a professional from Aruba currently working at the Organization of American States, will also share her experiences during the virtual session. Minister Plenipotentiary Supporting Aruba’s Youth and Professionals

As the representative of Aruba in the United States, Minister Plenipotentiary Zulema Dabian-Erasmus actively supports the development of Aruba’s youth and professionals by identifying career opportunities in Washington DC. This includes organizing virtual sessions, training opportunities, and internships in the United States, which help young professionals grow and gain international experience.

In June 2024, the Minister collaborated with the University of Aruba to facilitate a program for GMO students during their visit to Washington, DC. She also organized a Peer-to-Peer Conversation with Education USA for students planning to study in the United States. The goal is to continue hosting more sessions that empower young professionals to succeed in their careers.
