Scholarships Awarded and Study Destinations
ORANJESTAD – In a significant move, Aruba has sent 247 students to the Netherlands to pursue further studies. This initiative includes 207 students who received scholarships, with 118 of them benefiting from the Arubalening Reis Product for organized flights.
First Group of Students Departs for Amsterdam and Other Cities
The first group of 58 students departed on August 4, 2024, headed to cities including Amsterdam, Arnhem, and Rotterdam. The following group of 60 students left on August 5, 2024, heading to cities such as Delft and Eindhoven.
Second Group of Students Embarks on Their Journey
Apart from the Netherlands, 19 students will study in the United States, 7 in Canada, 5 in Curaçao, 4 in Spain, and 1 in Puerto Rico. Additionally, 65 students have chosen to continue their education at local institutions like the University of Aruba.

Although not all students traveling to the Netherlands utilized the Arubalening, support was provided for those who participated in the organized flight. Students face various challenges abroad, including securing housing, though many have found accommodations.
