Boardwalk Boutique Hotel Aruba has taken a significant step in its sustainability journey by appointing Aruban-born Randolf Britton as Maintenance & Engineer Projects Specialist in March. In this role, Randolf is responsible for overseeing studies and initiatives aimed at making the hotel more sustainable and regenerative. Additionally, he addresses electrical and technical issues that arise in daily operations.

Current Tasks and Responsibilities

Randolf’s current tasks include testing smart energy meters, mapping electricity efficiency, and exploring ways to increase the hotel’s solar-generated energy. His familiarity with Boardwalk stems from his work on the construction and expansion of the property since 2019, where he served as a project leader for a local electrical contractor.

Previous Roles and Experience

With previous experience in electrical installations at Renaissance and the ANSO factory in Curaçao, Randolf brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role. He holds an associate degree in electrical engineering from EPI Aruba and has also pursued studies in the same field at Hogeschool Rotterdam.
