The Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA) Italia organized a successful roadshow across Puglia, Campania, Lazio, and Marche, engaging 211 travel agents with interactive sessions and workshops.
Overview of the Roadshow
The Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA) Italia organized a successful roadshow named “Caravan of Happiness” across four regions in central and southern Italy: Puglia, Campania, Lazio, and Marche. The events were hosted by various Italian tour operators, including MAPO WORLD, GOING, VOLONLINE, and GO WORLD, in stunning venues. Representatives from hotel partners like Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort, Courtyard by Marriott, Divi & Tamarijn, De Palm Tours, and Manchebo Beach Resort joined the roadshow, engaging a total of 211 travel agents and 30 staff from the tour operator partners.
Puglia: Engaging Travel Agents and Partners
The first event, held over a weekend, hosted 40 travel agents for two days of meetings, training, and experiences. The program included a plenary meeting and a workshop session where agents collected stickers from eight partners to enter a raffle for a joint fam trip to Canada and Aruba with AirCanada. A quiz linked to the workshop provided further engagement, followed by an aperitif by the pool, a buffet dinner featuring local specialties, and live music. The next day featured a yoga lesson for 15 agents and a mixology lesson with Aymar Torres, focusing on the Aruba Ariba cocktail.
Campania: Unique Experiences and Workshops
The roadshow continued with two evening events in Campania, Lazio, and Marche. Agents were greeted with finger food, including Aruban recipes like coconut shrimp and funchi, and a drink. Each partner had a table to interact with smaller groups of agents who collected stickers for the raffle. The evening included a brief presentation about Aruba’s unique selling points (USPs) by ATA, followed by dinner and live entertainment by Aruban singer Aymar Torres. The event concluded with a raffle, awarding goodie bags and giveaways to participants.
Lazio and Marche: Evening Events and Networking
Each event was uniquely customized to convey The Aruba Effect, with decorations including paper totems, banners, a photobooth corner with beach chairs, flower necklaces and bracelets, fun sunglasses, and inflatable Aruba-themed items.
Positive Feedback and Future Prospects
The overall feedback was very positive, with agents appreciating the informative sessions, networking opportunities, and the lively atmosphere.
