The Boolchand Group Celebrates 50 Years with Tree Planting Initiative

In celebration of its 50th anniversary in Aruba, The Boolchand Group has embarked on a series of initiatives to give back to its loyal customers and the community. Among these efforts, The Boolchand Group partnered with ‘Ban Lanta y Planta’ on a significant project: planting 50 trees on May 5th. This event marked a pivotal moment in the company’s journey towards sustainability and environmental stewardship.

The tree planting ceremony took place at the Donkey Sanctuary Aruba, where The Boolchand Group team and dedicated volunteers from Ban Lanta y Planta planted 50 native trees. The morning was filled with enthusiasm and hard work, capped off by a refreshing rain shower that provided a perfect start for the newly planted trees.

The selected trees included various native species like Brasil, Palo di Boonchi, Foyo di Cruz, Kibrahacha, Palisia blanco, Kawara blanco, Kurahout, Dabaruida, Taki, Calbas, as well as shrubs such as Seida, Shimarucu, and Reseda. These trees will not only offer essential shade for the animals and visitors of the Donkey Sanctuary but also help prevent erosion along the nearby road, contributing to the overall environmental health of the area.

“This initiative underscores our commitment to sustainability and our dedication to making a positive impact on the community and environment,” stated Ravee Nandwani, Director of The Boolchand Group. “Each tree symbolizes hope and a brighter future for Aruba, and we are thankful for the support and partnership of Ban Lanta y Planta and the Donkey Sanctuary.”

The Boolchand Group expressed deep gratitude to Ban Lanta y Planta and the Donkey Sanctuary for their invaluable support and collaboration. This tree planting event is part of a broader series of initiatives planned throughout the year to commemorate the company’s 50th anniversary and reinforce its commitment to supporting the local community.
