Crafting Vacations that Inspire Change

Bucuti & Tara celebrated Earth Hour by dimming unnecessary lights and raising awareness about the urgent need for collective action against climate change. Guests at the Caribbean’s premier carbon-neutral hotel had the chance to witness what was dubbed “The Hour that Can Change the World” through a range of specialized Earth Hour experiences.

Members of the Space and Nature Aruba Foundation provided powerful telescopes and shared their expertise with stargazing enthusiasts along Bucuti & Tara’s expansive Eagle Beach, offering a front-row seat to the wonders of the galaxy. Couples could also indulge in Mother Nature’s light display on a beachside sofa, accompanied by a bottle of Champagne and an assortment of canapés.

Others chose to partake in an Earth Hour Mindful Dinner led by Executive Chef Alexander Powell and his culinary team at the oceanfront Elements restaurant. This culinary experience paid homage to the planet with responsibly sourced ingredients and energy-efficient cooking methods, including induction stovetops that minimize heat loss and reduce the resort’s air-conditioning needs.

Guests also had the opportunity to join a special grounding mindfulness meditation session led by Aruba’s esteemed meditation and yoga instructor, Shanti. Centered around the Earth, the Earth Hour meditation provided a serene way to connect with nature. Wrapping up the evening was a Movies Under the Stars screening of “Kiss the Ground.”

Ewald Biemans, Owner/CEO of Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort, expressed the resort’s commitment to Earth Hour, welcoming both returning guests and newcomers from around the world to join in the initiative. “Together, by making a difference locally, we are making a difference globally,” he remarked.
